Dry Rot In Homes

Dry rot isn't a result of water damage, but a lack of ventilation. If there is roof repair needed in the middle of your roof, there is a possible chance that the plywood could be deteriorating. The roof will eventually sag, making the roof shingles very brittle, eventually crack and then leak. Preventing dry rot is just a matter of installing a ridge vent, which only works if there is a soffit vent. Holes have to be drilled through the soffit vents for cool air to circulate through the bottom, pushing the hot air out through the top. If you have dry rot check out roof.net for your McLean roof repair.
